Myslel jsem si, že to má Charles hrozně jednoduché, když má jen 6 studentů ruštiny. Pak jsem ale zjistil, že učí ještě jeden předmět, kde má studentů padesát, což je skoro nejvíc ze všech předmětů vůbec. To na něm ale není to nejzajímavější. S Honzou jsme se divili, když Charles přinesl do knihovny pro studenty hordu filmů typu Dracula. Pak jsme zjistili, že je to na předmět o upírech. Zde je jeho popis:
MLT 260. The Vampire as Other in East European and American Culture. We will discuss the present distribution of the East European peoples, their prehistory, and their relation to other peoples of Europe and Asia. We will also survey their early culture, including pagan, animistic, and dualistic religious beliefs, and Christianization. Our focus will be the myth of the vampire, which has had enduring power not only in Eastern European folk belief but also in American popular culture right up to the present day.

No vidíš to, jakou šanci jsi promeškal. A ty si místo upírů s milým Charlesem zapíšeš independent study s upírskou profesorkou.
Přeci to nebudu jen teoreticky studovat. Tak jsem zvolil něco, co mi bude pít krev prakticky.
